In The Garden

As thoughts like seeds germinate, they mature and become unique works of art, each one holding a special place "In The Garden".

In the garden we find life, where the divine order in which it was created is clearly seen. We also see how intertwined it is with our own spiritual condition. Throughout the Bible, the garden is used as a metaphor for the relationship between God and mankind, a sacred place where God's peace, shelter and provision can be found.

The believer's heart is Christ's garden and he is the keeper thereof, for he bought it with his precious blood. He restores us when we wait upon him, as the flowers wait upon the dew. When the tempests of life assault, he is our anchor when we trust in him and our roots go deep. He is the Light of Life and is life sustaining. Just as the lilies of the garden require his watering in order to thrive, he showers us with his blessings. He holds all things in his power. Even before the seed is planted, God conditions the soil, preparing our hearts to receive the truth of His Word. With his tender care, his purpose is fulfilled through germination, growth and ultimately, the harvest.
